- Reviewed in the United States on July 6, 2024Makita 5/8” - 2" 18 Gauge Brad Nailer,. I was going to buy an inexpensive brad nailer from my local Fright hardware store, but I thought that I should buy something that I could pass down to the next generation as my father always did. I purchased this Makita 2” brad nailer as it had ratings of 4.7 out of 3,170 reviews. So, I thought you can’t beat that. My goodness is this one amazing nailer. Rubber grips and even the blue logo on the side is also rubber so if you set it down on something nice or a piece of furniture it won’t scratch it. It fits your hand like a glove and functions so smoothly. I will never regret spending more money just to have something that is so nice to use for what I need, but knowing that it will easily pass on down to probably my grandson makes the extra expense worth every penny. I will never shy away from a tool that I know will be used and appreciated going forward. It is truly a fantastic 18 gauge brad nailer. You won't ever regret buying this air brad nailer.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 1, 2024My Dewalt Brad nailer that I got for free, just died, and since I own several Makita tools I decided to buy a Makita Brad nailer. Wow, am I impressed!!! This lightweight nailer fits my hand perfectly, great grip. This is so easy to operate, easy to load, and never a misfire. I know everyone hears this a lot, well it’s a Makita, enough said, can’t go any better, but it’s true. Well made, well thought out, durable, and the Makita name. The damn thing even looks good. I love this nailer, and actually want to replace my finish nailer with a Makita. 5+ stars

- Reviewed in the United States on January 20, 2023I ordered this to use in buding decor for our business. The unit I was sent initially was clearly used and damaged (see pictures). There was a nail jammed in it and the spring was missing from the tip safety. I contacted Amazon immediately and they had a new one at my door the next evening. The second one is new and exactly as pictured in the listing. The nailer is pretty light and has a handy hook attached so you can hang it on your ladder or something. The depth adjustment is smooth and easy to use. For less than $100 it seems to be a very good value.

It feels great in the hand, not too light, not heavy. First job of the gun was trimming a whole house(1400lft) and made my job that much easier.
Compared to its competition H bought from the Lbox, the magazine is loading the nail strip tight and doesn't jam every few 10s of nails. That was frustrating, loose plastic magazine wobling and shaking. This Makita nailer has none of that, top notch gun and very reasonably priced, good value. Buy without regrets.
(A word of caution: this is my second gun of the same, the first one arrived unable to sink the heads of nails, no matter what was adjusted, air pressure or depth setting. Was promptly returned, and the second one received works great.)

5.0 out of 5 stars Another predictably consistent and reliable Makita product.
Reliable, accurate and easy to load. Easy to eliminate / disable cumbersome safety tip device for smooth competent operation. 40 years a journeyman carpenter and have learned to rely on the entire Makita product line. Price modest so I assess it as deluxe throwaway product that is reliable enough with enough longevity that the product is discarded when it eventually breaks. Other "reputable" small power tool manufacturers have repeatedly disappointed me with one form of trickery or design that results from letting the accountants and marketing people take priority over the engineering team causing premature death of tool.
