Product Description

The Kensington is a large wall mount unit. Great for the entire family. Keeps your towels dry, warm and fresh all year long. This will help turn your ordinary bathroom into the ultimate luxury/spa experience. it is designed to run continuously 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week. It's Filatherm dry element is reliable and energy efficient, using about the same power as your average lightbulb. Great for year-round use! Really helps draw moisture away during the hot and humid months. Keeps your towels from smelling musty. Also helps eliminate mold and mildew growth. Quicker heat up time, more effective drying and no worrying about oils/liquids leaking from the unit. Great for drying delicates, hand washables, swimsuits and warming baby blankets and bedding. Product reaches optimum temperature within 30-40 minutes, but you need a good 2-3 hours for the heat to build up in the fibers of the towels. Recommend leaving towels on rack overnight before initial use. Make sure to layer your towels (do not weave throughout the bars). Remember this is a low energy device; your towels will be warm, dry and fresh for each use (towels will not be hot like coming out of a tumble dryer). Plugs into a standard 110-120V outlet. Dimensions 24 1/2"W x 6"D x 39 1/4"H. UL Listed. Basic tools required for installation.

Missing the dry towels
Had this for about 10 years and loved it until one day it caught on fire around the on/ off button. There was an electrical burning smell all over the house. My husband thought it was my recalled exploding phone, but no, instead it was the towel rack. Fortunately it tripped the breaker. The unit worked great to keep down the mold, and dry the towels for the next use. Also used it to dry clothes faster that did not want to put in dryer. We really miss having it work.

Living in the Sierra Nevada mountains, towels are often still damp the next day during the winter! When remodeling our master bath, we decided to install this rack. WOW! Now our towels are dry within hours!! If you are expecting "just out of the dryer" warm towels, you won't get it with this rack. But the towels are warm where they touch the rack (fold the towel in half and have most of it touching the racks...two towels fit nicely this way). Most importantly, they are dry!!

My only complaint is the covers for the mounts are of a slightly different color than the rest of the rack. They have a slight pink hue whereas the rack is a brushed nickel. Other than that, I highly recommend this rack. Another plus...it is very easy to install.

The towel warmer comes with a bright red warning label which states accurately that: "This towel warmer operates at high temperatures that can cause burns. Do not touch surfaces of the towel warmer. Do not allow unsupervised children in the vicinity of the towel warmer..." This warning is not on the website but should be. My adult fingers and knee were nearly burned with a half second contact. I mounted it where a person might inadvertently touch the unit or where children might be near it. I realized the unit was not designed for use in such a place and I returned it. It is advertised as "great for the entire family" but it is not.

This is an OK item for the price. The brass is not very heavy, and the fittings to the wall are plastic...so not a very high quality look.

It has been my experience that the towels aren't really WARM when you use them....but they are DRY..consistently and fast...which is great.

I am sure I could have purchased a higher quality unit for ten times the price!

We went to europe this year and fell in love with the towel warmers over there. We Love this one in the master bath on these chilly mournings. It does a good job of drying your towels and warming them. It's not to hot to touch, if you have little ones, you won't have to worry about getting a burn.

This was an impulse purchase while building our new house, which has the typical modern oversized master bathroom. Well, big bathrooms are nice, but they're drafty when the shower doesn't heat the whole room!!

This product was perfect for us. We hang our oversized towels on this rack, and they are always dry, and somewhat warm (not hot). On a chilly morning, I can't even imagine stepping out of the shower without this rack providing a warm, dry towel ready to go -- even if I got it wet from showering the prior night. The rack is also good for drying swim suits.

My wife was pleasantly skeptical when I placed the order -- just one more expense for the house -- but less than a week after we moved in, she commented that this was a great purchase.

I purchased this towel warmer through a Gold Box offer and was eagerly anticipating its arrival. I've had it for a week now, and unfortunately, it is barely warming my towels! And the only place the towel is warm is on the top fold! Maybe I'm doing something wrong - but the rack is good and warm to the touch! Can't decide whether I should return it or not! Help!

I gave Warmrails Kensington to my wife for Christmas. It was an easy install and plugs in to any outlet. As everyone else says it does a great job drying towels. I was a little dissapointed with the warmth of the towels but it's still better then using an "almost" dry cold one. If you want a really warm towel, you'll probably need to put a cloths dryer next to your shower, or get your spouse to iron them while you are showering.
